GIRLS' SCHOOL 10th ANNIVERSARY
It is 10 years since the Girls' School first opened its doors on the site of the old Springvale School.
To mark the occasion a dinner dance was arranged on Friday, 4th July 1997 at the Hellenic Club
From our intrepid special reporter Meridy-Boyd-Clark (PHG95) from the scene of the crime : The Peterhouse Girls'10th Anniversary Ball overshadowed all USA celebrations on that day. It was a truly festive occasion with past Headmaster Mike Hammond excelling himself as an after dinner comic speaker.
Head girls from the last three years were there in the form of Lara Vandoros, Bernice Wakefield and Theresa Buckland. Plenty of parents turned up as did all the staff. It was great to see so many feminine Petreans.
I recall seeing (in no particular order) Gay Lynton-Edwards, Billy Ward, Chawada Kachidza, Angela Wilkinson, Kerry Baxter, Maria Bakaris, Clare Rockingham-Gill, Natasha Motsi, Jamie Murdoch, Barbie Gurnell, Robyn Taylor, Kiara Cordy, Michelle Malzer, Sian Richards, Katie Drake, Barbara Yff, Mary Holman, Ruth Hill and many more.
